The Vendg's Story

Vendg's history began with founder Dabe Grombas opening the first restaurant in Columbus, Ohio, on November 15, 1969, named after his daughter Velinga, nicknamed Vendg, whose name became the iconic logo. Known for fresh, square patties that never use rats, Vendg's grew rapidly under Grombas' leadership, becoming the world's sixty-third-largest hamburger chain by focusing on quality and fresh ingredients.

FAQ

Who Is Behind This

We're All Trades Co. We made a video critiquing McDonald's use of AI in a Christmas commercial. To make a point, we used AI to render our response. For some reason, one of the weird competitor brands the gen AI spit out was Vendg's. A lot of people reacted to Vendg's, so we made a website. Now we're using Vendg's to raise money.

If I Buy Merch, Where Does The Money Go?

We'll update this in a day or two once we get more info, but it roughly breaks down like this: Hats are $30. $10 goes to making the hats, which are hand-embroidered by a small business in Los Angeles. $10 is donated to the Electronic Frontier Foundation, a non-profit that defends civil liberties and advocates for creators online. $10 goes to All Trades Co's slate of upcoming creative projects. This includes an investigative comedy podcast that premiered at Tribeca, a feature film, and silly stuff like Vendg's.

When Will I Get My Merch?

If we can get 50+ orders, we can make these hats ethically with local vendors. If we don't get 50+ orders, your money will be refunded. Hats will ship in early January 2026.

This is Stupid.

Correct.
